Upswell Chicago: Day 2
// By Christian Clansky
If you’ve gotten an email from Upswell (and we bet you have), you’ve probably noticed a tagline: boundless potential.
We love that concept, perhaps obviously, because it’s both the perfect descriptor of a changemaker’s value in the world and a challenge for us to collectively strive for more. And that spirit was captured in moments big and small on Day Two of Upswell Chicago. On the Main Stage, Theaster Gates issued a cultural sermon on the reclamation of sacred spaces. Michele Norris explored the notion of “tensile strength” and the power that can be extracted from just six words. Mick Ebeling demonstrated that our most intractable problems are simply not impossible to solve. We celebrated the transformative legacies of some of the most inspiring leaders in the social good space.
And through mind-opening talks, music, art, virtual worlds, and so much more, we pushed the limits of our imaginations. See for youself!
