Six chances to hear from the 2019 NGen Award finalists at Upswell
// By Jacqueline Brennan
Each year, Independent Sector’s NGen Leadership Award is presented to one changemaker age 40 or younger who has demonstrated transformative impact and collaborative leadership in addressing a critical societal need. Historically, this award has been a bellwether. It’s awarded annually to a changemaker who’s already doing astonishing work and staying the course. But many past recipients have rocketed on to even greater impact and recognition in their careers since receiving the award.
Over the past few months, we’ve introduced you to the six finalists for the 2019 award, asked you to vote on your pick for this year’s winner, and invited you to participate in a real-time Twitter chat with the whole group. Now, Upswell is just weeks away, and that means the big reveal of this year’s winner is almost here! But the Leadership Awards Reception, happening Thursday, November 14, won’t be your only opportunity to meet all of this year’s finalists during our three days in Chicago. That’s because each of them will also be speaking or presenting during Upswell.
Click on each finalist’s photo below for a quick preview of what they’ll be sharing at Upswell this November and when.
